I have been researching facilities for my mom for about the last 6 to 12 months when I stumbled upon this gem. The Cottages of Fox Lake is a bit tucked away but surpassed my initial expectations in every way. From the care staff to the newer Executive Director Jennifer to the nice lady who checked us in – I can’t remember her name to meeting Shelli who has the patience of a Saint helping us to understand the process prior to moving in as well as what happens after moving in, every person we encountered stopped to welcome my wife and me and made us feel like family. We were in a hurry and had to go, so imagine our surprise when Shelli presented us with two lunches to go (and it was really good). If my mom doesn’t move to California with my sister, she will soon be calling the Cottages of Fox Lake home. If you are looking for a facility for either yourself or someone else, cut out a lot of wasted time and go see Shelli. You will love this facility.
